Maybe my style is English country, romantic, tuscan and cottage;I want to know also more about Feng Shui.
I found the following definition:
Human beings are subject to subtle energies that influence our attitudes, behaviour and health. These energies can be controlled and redirected for our benefit in our environment, whether at home or at work. The study and implementation of this art is called Feng Shui. Uma Shankar gives a brief overview.
"What is Feng Shui? Literally, it means "wind and water". It refers to the Chinese art of balancing subtle energies (chi) in our surrounding environment. Feng Shui seeks to harmonize the elements of nature by establishing a balance of energies in our environment based on directional principles, seasons and colours."
I want to know more about it!!

Design styles - what's my style
Found a nice quiz on:
http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/pac_ctnt_988/text/0,,HGTV_22056_33320,00.html
Result: My style is Sweet.
What's sweet is chic. Nothing stark and modern for me.I'm drawn to cozy interiors and a welcoming palette (think soft,sun-bleached hues). I like my patterns whimsical and my buildings quaint.I enjoy heirlooms with sentimental value, like a rocker that once graced my grandmother's nursery.

Moving: How to make it a success?
So I'm moving to another country. Searching for a new home (house or appartment).
Till now, living in a house was just a practical matter.
This time I will spend more attention to find my place. To realise this project, I start to define my goal.
Before I start to define it, I realize there are several 'rules' to define goals.
- "Knowing exactly why you want to achieve your goal increases your chances of achieving it." (= knowing my motivation)
Motivation is based on values.
Each individual has different set of values. Some people's values may be confined to their family, religion, work or spirituality. Most people have values like honesty, fairness, education, achievement, creativity, security, happiness, satisfaction, family, freedom or integrity. Knowing the ideal core values is simple, but finding what your own personal values are is a tedious and time-consuming task. Remember that each one has different values and the key to them being personal is that they are important to you as an individual. Think this through and then list down the things most important to you.
Values are a deep set of unconscious filters that let us know whether something is important or not.
Matching goals to values
It is extremely important to match your goals to your values. If you do not match these two, you are going to have mixed feelings either about the goals or the values. It will be like trying to work at two seriously different things at one time. You will get frustrated trying to cope up with the two. There are some people who while trying to manage their goals, are in conflict with their values and end up getting sick, disinterested and de-motivated with their jobs,...
ToDo:
- Why do I want to spend more attention to find a place?
- What is my motivation / goal?
- What are my values?
The answers you will find in my next posts. (tags/labels: motivation, values)
With motivation,
